'"The Story of US" is a creation of Northwestern Michigan College. It was written by Tom Gordon as the culmination of a five-month sabbatical project in 2006 and was first used at NMC in 2007. It has been in nearly continual use ever since. The numerous "webumentaries" were filmed by Tom during a sabbatical project. Other video content is restricted for use only by NMC students. "Outline of U.S. History" is a publication of the U.S. Department of State. Tom Gordon has combined these two books into this Open Educational Resource (OER) and licensed it under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.' -- back cover.
